The Innovation Curve

When do you get on the innovation ladder/curve?
When it’s Impossible?
When it is merely Impractical?
When it is newly Possible?
When it’s expected?
When it is now required?

If you pick the wrong time you become a follower but you get to learn from others mistakes but then its playing catch up or is that then right tool at the right time? But once its set, it might not go in the direction you want?

If you are on the forefront then pushing all the time and running the risk of the unknown and managing that risk. But you become a leader in a very small group. Does this make you more differentiated from your competitors?

Then of course do you want to be cutting edge, bleeding edge or off the edge?

About Shaun Farrell

I have been involved in the construction sector since 1986 and over the years I have seen things change dramatically. Much of the change has been directly as a result of technology. This blog will be about the key combinations of People, Process and Technology. Any views expressed here are strictly my own.
