At Autodesk university I find that the round table sessions are the most interesting for me as you get to interact with a number of people and get their ideas. But on par with those are the non disclosure agreement sessions.
These are often where we the customer get to share our ideas with Autodesk and they give us their ideas and futures roadmap.
This year I took part in the following.
Autodesk website useability and interface
Autodesk 360 useability and future plans.
Focus group on working in a paperless world. Interesting commonality from the group participating was that regulatory bodies and compliance organisations seem to be the bottle next to paperless.
Reality capture customer council meetup. Talking to the development team about recap and point clouds.
Expert elite and blogger events.
Construction session on navis and Revit futures.
Briefing on the bim360 platform roadmap and future plans
Creating “magic” in data management about future of vault.
All in all very engaging and some exciting developments in the pipeline. Dare I say it some heading in the directions we all want.
