Phil Bernstein on “Working Drawings”

I have to admit to looking towards the “but who needs a drawing approach”. I have also talked many times about the existing example on site where the contractor has his BIM data set accessible by a team in a site hut. The contractors team come in, ask a question, the data team interrogate the model, generate the necessary information from the data set and give the tradesman his output. These days that could still be a drawing but more and more I feel it could be simply a transfer of the data to a mobile device.

About Shaun Farrell

I have been involved in the construction sector since 1986 and over the years I have seen things change dramatically. Much of the change has been directly as a result of technology. This blog will be about the key combinations of People, Process and Technology. Any views expressed here are strictly my own.
